Standards and Ethics
All procurement activities are conducted with absolute sincerity and without prejudice in an effort to maintain fairness and integrity in its business relationships. As a condition of employment at AHM, associates are required to exercise ethical conduct and to avoid the appearance of impropriety in their business dealings with others, as well as avoiding any situation that does or may involve a conflict of interest. Associates who are involved in the acquisition of products or services utilizing the purchasing system need to be particularly aware of potential problems involving business ethics and conflicts of interest.

Competition
Competition is the preferred method of procurement at AHM as it is the best guarantee of fair and reasonable pricing and provides an impartial method of awarding business to the supplier community.

Procurement Authority
The legal authority to commit the Company contractually for the purchase, lease, rental, etc. of products and services of any type is vested with the Corporate Procurement Department.
Other departments or individuals may not enter into or modify written or oral contracts which obligate AHM for the purchase of products or services of any kind or nature.

Confidential Information
